Phase one consultation feedback summary 15th March 2023.
Anglian Water held a public consultation on our proposals for a new reservoir in Lincolnshire from 12 October – 21 December 2022.
The reservoir will store water so it’s on tap when we need it, helping to meet the challenges of a changing climate and a growing population.
During this phase one consultation, we held a series of events and webinars where we worked closely with stakeholders and members of the public to discuss our proposals, answer questions and encourage their feedback.
Our proposals are still at the early stage of development. The purpose of the consultation was to gather feedback and information from individuals and organisations to help inform our plans as the project develops.
We received 330 feedback submissions, including 291 from individuals, 18 from organisations and 21 from affected parties This feedback will be valuable to us as we develop our plans for the reservoir to create benefits for people and nature, while minimising any negative impacts.
Since the close of the consultation, our team have been working behind the scenes to analyse the feedback. We’re pleased to now be in a position to publish a summary of feedback received, detailing the key themes and issues that people shared with us during the consultation.

What happens next?
Our focus now will be to use this feedback to further develop our proposals ahead of a second consultation in 2024.
We understand the effect on those impacted by our proposals including homeowners, landowners and nearby communities. Through working together with these communities and other stakeholders,
we hope to deliver a project that benefits the whole Lincolnshire area and all of our customers.
