The first 15 minutes of a Parish Council meeting is for members of the public to raise concerns, queries or questions relating to items on the Agenda which can then be discussed fully when the PC meeting is opened at 7.45pm.  All are welcome to stay for the whole PC meeting which usually finishes at 9pm.  There are strict protocols for Councillors to follow during a PC meeting so if you have any comment to make during the course of the main meeting please raise your hand so the meeting can be closed. 

If you can’t make the evening Parish Council meeting to discuss any village issues you may have or would like to talk about regional issues, the PC holds a monthly surgery on the first Saturday of each month in the Hut from 9.30am to 12pm.

1.    APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE, if any. 

2.    DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST. Block dispensation – Playpark/ Reservoir/ Budget, Precept.

3.    APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES - Clerks’ Notes from July 16th,  2024, – accepting as Minutes. 

4.    REPORT(S) FROM VISITING REPRESENTATIVE(S), if any.
 
5.    COUNCILLOR VACANCIES.  Update, if any, on the remaining vacancy. 

6.    PLAYPARK :

Recent Grant.  Climbing wall and Monkey bars. Any update?
Playpark Notice Board. Is this in position?
Three Replacement Trees. Update on negotiations with The Crown.
Inspection. The Annual Inspection has been ordered, possible October date.
Interim Inspections. Update on enquiries re possible Interim Inspections.
Lock on Vehicle gate. Details of a suitable weather proof padlock circulated.

7.    NOTICE BOARD. Update on purchase and installation of a new Notice Board.

8.    MAJOR PROJECTS/CONSULTATIONS.
•    Reservoir Liaison Cttee. – Report from the Public Meeting.

9.    NEWSLETTER. “Introduction to Swaton” leaflet – progress/update?

10.    TREE PRESERVATION. Identifying possible trees for TPO.

11.    SPEED INDICATION DEVICES.  Consider the possibility of solar power. 

12.    SURGERY ITEMS, if any, BROUGHT TO MEETING.
Overgrown land and footpaths.  Progress as to identification of problem areas and landowners.

13.    FINANCE – 
•    Monthly report from RFO, including signing of Cheques/Approval of any BACS payments. Note and Accept.
•    Pre-Budget discussions – Any possible projects/actions needed for 2025/6 financial year ready for preliminary Budget in November. 
 
14.    PLANNING MATTERS.  

15.    L.A.L.C.  Bulletins forwarded when received. Future training dates included in these Bulletins.

16.    CLERK’S REPORT.
