The next Swaton Parish Council meeting will be held on Tuesday 22nd September 2026 at 7.30pm. Residents are always encourgaed to attend Council meetings as observers, but will not be allowed to speak during the transaction of the business. The first 15 minutes (7.30 - 7.45pm) are open to the public to ask questions or raise issues in regards to matters already on this agenda which will be published 1 week prior to the meeting. Any other issues raised will be added to the next meeting's agenda.

• Annual Inspection – Unaccompanied, in August – any report yet?
7. GRANT FUNDING.
• Grant for ‘bus shelter/maintenance.
• County Councillor Community Grant Fund – Consider new Speed Signs.
8. RESERVOIR. Update of the next consultation.
9. COMMUNITY SPEEDWATCH. Update after assessing local interest, Cllr Mrs Penketh.
10. HIGHWAYS MATTERS.
• CC Volunteering scheme – any suitable projects identified?
• Speed limit signs. Update.
• New village name signs. Update.
• Fly tipping – Request for appropriate signage in North Drove.
11. FINANCE
• Monthly report from RFO, including signing of Cheques/Approval of BACS payments. Note and accept.

12. PLANNING MATTERS. Application 26/0515/FUL Permission granted for demolition of barns, erection of 2 dwellings at Weigbridge Barn, North End Farm.
13. CLERK’S REPORT.
• LALC bulletins and Training bulletin – these are sent directly to Cllrs from LALC.
• NKDC Parish and Town Council Forum – Tues October 20th 10am-12md. Clerks and up to 2 Cllrs invited. Details circulated.
