Bi-monthly Parish Council meetings are 3rd Tuesday of January, March, May, July, September & November starting at 7.30pm,

The next Swaton Parish Council meeting will be held on Tuesday 28th July 2026 at 7.30pm. This meeting includes the Annual Parish Meeting which will be followed by a standard bi-monthly meeting.

Members of the public are always encourgaed to attend a PC meeting as observers, but will not be allowed to speak during the transaction of the business.  The first 15 minutes (7.30-7.45pm) will be open to the public to ask questions or raise issues in regards to matters already on this agenda which will be published 1 week prior to the meeting. Any other issues raised will be added to the next meeting's agenda or dealt with outside of the meeting depending on the issues raised.

3. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES - Clerks’ Notes from the meeting of May 19th, 2026, – accepting as Minutes, Chairman signs.
4. REPORT(S) FROM VISITING REPRESENTATIVE(S), if any.

5. COUNCILLOR VACANCY. The Pc may co-opt in order to fill the vacancy.

6. PLAPARK.

· Gate Repairs : Update

· Annual Inspection – This will be unaccompanied and will be in August.

· Secondary retention device to swings,

7. GRANT FUNDING.

· Grant for ‘bus shelter/maintenance.

· County Councillor Community Grant Fund – circulated by C/Cllr East.

9. COMMUNITY SPEEDWATCH. Update after assessing local interest, Cllr Mrs Penketh.

10. HIGHWAYS MATTERS.

· Update after Highways site visit.

· Potential flooding at The Row. Update from C/Cllr East.

· CC Volunteering scheme – any suitable projects identified?

· Speed limit from the village to the A15. Criteria not met for a reduction/extension. Do the signs have yellow boards

11. NEW NAME SIGNS FOR THE VILLAGE. Initial feedback from LCC Highways.

12. FINANCE

· Monthly report from RFO, including signing of Cheques/Approval of BACS payments. Note and accept.

· Audit – Notification of Exempt Status received.

13. PLANNING MATTERS. Application 26/0691/FUL. Erection of replacement dwelling, detached garage and new vehicle access. Glebe Farm, North Drove. “No Objections” was returned to NKDC.

14. CLERK’S REPORT.

· LALC bulletins and Training bulletin – these are sent directly to Cllrs from LALC.

· NKDC Parish and Town Council Forum, June 30th. No one available.

· Rural Area Bus Services. C/Cllr East is collating views on possible improvements.
