Swaton Vintage Day and World Egg Throwing Championships

The Swaton Vintage Show is held each year on the last Sunday in June and also features the World Egg Throwing Championships. In past years there has been international teams attending from the likes of Holland, Japan, Germany, New Zealand & Ireland - who'll be there this year ?!   

Swaton Vintage Day is a family country show which started in 1994 in Swaton and attracts thousands of visitors locally and further afield.  Swaton is convenient for those travelling from nearby Sleaford, Lincoln, Grantham, Spalding, Boston or from a little further such as Nottingham, Newark, Bourne, Peterborough or even Kings Lynn as we're just off the A52 and not far from the A15, A16 and A17

It's a must for a family day out with parking on site so everything is close by.  The event has featured on UK TV as well as BBC Australia and more recently Latvian TV and has attracted one or two well known celebrities too. 

Swaton Vintage Day been a great fund raiser with all profits being donated to larger / national charities as well as local charities and over the years has donated well in excess of £130,000 to deserved causes including Air Ambulance, Cancer Research, Children's hospices. Sout Groups, Coeliac Society,  LIVES (first responders), Leukeamia Research, The British Red Cross and so much more

Visitors will be entertained by a variety of live music and singers as well as Swaton's very own steel band.  There will also be a selection of craft and gift stalls as well as a tea tent selling refreshments and delicious, locally made cakes plus a beer tent to quench your summer thirst.  The main ring will have the dog show and the famous World Egg Throwing Championships and around the area vintage vehicles, steam engines, vintage cars, motorbikes, farm vehicles and trucks will all be on display. There will be a plethera of trade stands and craft stalls selling locally made produce as well as plants, and other activities including Wood Carving and Childrens games and rides. 

For those looking for good food there will be a hog roast and other food stalls.
