Swaton's Parish Council was formed in 2002 in order to enhance the village with a much-needed village hall as well as lead a campaign for a children's park, build proper bus shelters and generally enhance the lives of its's residents.
Through their hard work and dedication, Swaton's Parish Councillors and it's highly experienced Clerk, Mrs Shelagh McIntyre, quickly achieved the status of 'Quality Council'. Initiallly starting with just 5 Councillors the PC is now at 7 Councillors and continues to strive for the very best for the village and all it's inhabitants,
